The World's a Mess

The world is in a mess
And I confess
That it makes me feel the pain
Of knowing that some things I do
I may not get to do again.
I see rights being lost each day
Through laws said to be needed to protect
Although at times I do not think
That help is what they reflect.
Passions run high on every side-
No one wants to give an inch or two
For no one trusts the other side
To know the right thing to do.
Oh that I were so wise and strong
And never did things that were wrong
How I would love to share with you
The things that we all should do...
One thing that I know for sure
Is that God's Word is Truth and Pure
And He can be trusted to guide our way
If only we take the time to pray
Then to trust Him and obey...

Amen! Prayer is the only thing we can lean on at this time of confusion, fear, and unrest. Although this is still a free nation, compared to many other countries, we are headed down a slippery path. It truly saddens me.
