Angels Among Us

God loves me so much that He gave his life for me
He even did that before I was born you see
He knew I was going to exist someday
He knew as a child I would sing and play.

So He sent an angel to look after me
One I could not even see
I was just a child way back then
I really didn’t know much about sin.

When I grew up the angel stayed
And I constantly prayed
Now I knew a lot about sin
I just didn’t want to let any in.

God gave me freewill to choose whatever
Between good and evil was my endeavor.
He knew what my choices were going to be
Even before I was able to see.

He left the angel to stay and see
That I was safe until He came for me.
My angel has no name that I know
But it stayed and watched me grow.

My angel will be with me until the end
When I will no longer need a friend.
Then I will be with Jesus above
And there I will know and feel great love.

"Angels among us indeed!"
No doubt about it!

Well, I think your poems are amazingly beautiful. No doubt.

Thank you so much. I try to write at least one a day now. One day I hope to get them all together for a book. I am also considering reading them to background music and making a CD. Don't know how well that would go, but its been on my mind.
