When I see the Sun Rise

When I see the sun rise
It reminds me of God’s love
For it is bigger than I can imagine
And shines over all of us.
When I see a newborn baby
Held close to its mother’s heart
It reminds me of the Lamb of God
Holding us in His arms each day
Gently pulling us back
When we are prone to stray.
When I see the sun set
It reminds that someday
Life on this earthly plain will be o’er
And I shall look upon Jesus’ face
On that Heavenly shore.

Sunrise or sunset
Blue sky or gray
Lord, let my words please You
Every single day.

I love the likening of a mother holding her newborn baby to Jesus holding us. Sometimes, we just need that so badly.
