Asking God to bless today

Asking God to bless today
Those who have drifted away
And who seek now to find their way home
Back to their faith in God
No longer to be alone.
Asking God to touch today
Those whose day is going badly
And whose strength is ebbing, sadly
Asking God to touch and heal
And His love for them to reveal.
Asking God to encourage those
For whom a special ministry He chose
Strengthen them and let them be
As strong and bold as He bids them be.
And God, last of all, blessed let me be
And let Your Holy Spirit flow from me.

I do not know how long this will go on-
How long our world will continue
In the way we see it going
But my joy and comfort and my peace
Come in the knowing
That God is aware of every sparrow
That flutters to the ground
Every word that is spoken
Be it simple or profound
And He will take care of me
Keep me steady when I feel I'm falling
And He hears me day or night
When on His Name I'm calling.
