Skeleton
Six feet under beneath a tomb unknown lay a skeleton of a corpse
Laid to rest long ago yet can still see the scars that the skin bared
The persecution of this Christian is still visible though only bones
When living this Christian walked this earth with no worry of tomorrow
Time didn’t matter even as days pasted with Him time stood still as if
Not even death could stand in His way
Walked by this Christian everyday seeing the persecution yet not believing
Never did we lift a finger to stop the persecutor even though blinded to see face
The signs were very clear even though hiding behind lies
The zebra that lays with bloody rib bones showing flesh and skin attached
We see what was a Lamb now a lion after the slaughter we failed to believe
Quickly do we forget satan was an Angel now fallen
The Christian now a skeleton of a corpse laying six feet under tried to warn us
Yes we wish it’s all good with love, that there’s no devil, no apocalypse coming
So what’s the point in scaring everyone from behind the pulpit
Instead of paying heed we ignored this Christian since we didn’t believe no one did
Threw stones for our gratitude, slapped His nail scared hands away that reached out
Could have been, should have been saved if only we listened to our hollow hearts
Six feet under beneath a tomb unknown lay a skeleton the eyes start to glow
Flesh, blood start coming back as new breath fills His lungs bringing life back
The resurrection of this Christ now complete no longer a Christian
The persecution of this world isn’t against me but He that is Jesus Christ
Because the world hates Jesus Christ so does the world hate me in Christ
The world will leave me a skeleton beneath a tomb unknown
Greater is He that is in me then he that is in or beneath the world that hides us
That forgets even in the darkest pit will be like Light to me for the sun isn’t needed
The glory of Jesus Christ shines through this witness that rises
