Wouldn’t it be great if I never had a hurt
If it never rained at picnics
If I never ripped my shirt
If speeding had no limits in the times I’m in a rush
If ALL days were good hair days
If the screaming kids would hush
Wouldn’t it be glorious if no one had a stroke
If cancer was defeated
If you were never broke
If vices lost their power and your life was always stable
If your kids would live close by
And be often at your table
And wouldn’t it be sweet if politicians never lied
If our taxes were reversed
If good ideas at least were tried
If stuff we can’t pronounce wasn’t put into our food
If schools were safe havens
If “entertainment” wasn’t lewd
Wouldn’t it be awesome if all momma’s kept their babes
If all daddies loved their offspring
If all spouses always stayed
If we never needed prisons because goodness ruled each heart
If keys and locks seemed silly
If each person did their part
Wouldn’t it be heaven if we had a perfect King
If we never had a problem
If we didn’t need a thing
And wouldn’t it be heaven if our thoughts were first for others
If everyone was happy
If we lived in peace as brothers
Wouldn’t it be heaven if we met a perfect King
If he told us that He loved us
If over us He’d sing
Wouldn’t it be heaven if in His castle we could live
Or if our life was threatened
His life for us He’d give
Indeed it would be heaven and this place is very real
The door stands widely open
For all who have His seal
It isn’t just a dream for those awaiting this great King
It’s truth, and hope and joy to come-
Let Heaven’s praises ring!
