Acts 4 13 When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.
How could an unschooled ordinary person astonish the scholarly teacher types so that they sit down at the front on the class and take notes? Well, quite easily, that person must be able to show that they have been with Jesus.
Have you spent time learning and listening in Jesus’ lecture hall?
Have you sat at the front, by the cross, absorbing his pain, for your salvation?
Have you watched the video clips of his empty tomb, felt the joy of his resurrection, the promise of your eternal life?
They [the teachers] noted that these men had been with Jesus.
Do you feel unqualified as a writer because you are relatively unschooled and live just an ordinary life? Then God can use your writing, provided you have done the prerequisite courses with Jesus. This course is a life long requirement of being schooled by him. Through this learning the Holy Spirit will give you the courage to write and to hit the send button. He will encourage you to point past yourself so that as the author you are forgotten but the subject of your writing will receive all the noteworthy credits. Then those reading will take note that this author has been with Jesus.
