Fall silent as legs give out like wistful embers of a fire
almost depleted
Knees buckle
Face down to the ground
Fall no more
Everything begins to look up
Ever watch someone endure a trial
You know you could handle better
and wish you could undertake in their place?
Knowing what you know for a fact
Makes all the difference in all matters
Too difficult to explain
Sometimes breathing comes effortlessly
Sounds like a given
Taken for granted
Until we find ourselves fighting for breath
Sometimes we need reminding of the appropriate
Whens’ and hows’
When so much is going on all at once
The former autonomous functions
Now becoming a concerted effort
Things lain dormant in our subconscious
Abruptly awaken
When we are pushed beyond the limits of human comprehension
And in these times O’ Lord
It goes without mention
You have our full attention
Even still…
Knowing better tend to stray right under your nose
Finding fascination in other-worldly directions
Entranced,
Allured,
By charismatic inflections
Negating the spiritual
by our own introspections
as if You are indeed…
“too Good to be True”
And if we believe You are as Good,
As Your Good book says You are,
Then why pose we so many questions?
The questions sometimes
Bring secrets to the fore
Into the light and through a door
Hidden no more
Mysteries revealed as You will
“When and how”
It pleases You
Once in a while
