Here, Finally!

Hello! I am a 33 year old woman (something I'm thankful for as I have survived this long and I enjoy each added year of life :-D) and have been writing since elementary school. Some of my poems were published, but not for profit. In the length of time I've been writing, none of my more realistic stories have I ever completed. I had begun to work more seriously on a book when my husband of 2.5 years (at the time) became ill (1 month after the birth of our daughter). Months later, he developed some other symptoms and was declared disabled and in need of consistent care. He began working hard on his fictional work (which he had been working on since High School) and finally self-published his first book this past summer. While he continues to work on this as his career and I work to get home businesses off the ground to help pay our bills (while caring for both he and our now nearly 4 year-old), I have developed more and more plots. 
  Although I have wanted to write them, the demands on my time and attention remain high. I'm trying to shift my perspective from seeking an hour or so to write in a day to maybe 15-20 minutes (or 10, in some cases). Because the businesses are still getting off of the ground, I sometimes feel a pang of something akin to despair on the writing front that I need to focus on the things that will more readily bring an income rather than writing. What remains most important is that I yield everything to our Lord Jesus, the Heavenly Father, and the Holy Spirit and allow Him to help me balance life as needed.
  My time here may be sporadic and I will read and respond as I can (my husband's condition is - complex. 4 different doctors and a nutritionist have been working to find the extent of the condition and what treatment options my husband responds positively to). When a friend found this website and forwarded the link, I felt encouraged. I had shared my frustration with her about writing, so when she found this forum she forwarded it to me and told me about it. She is not a writer, so she looked to find a place for me to find a writer's forum/group.
  My husband called and I need to go take something to him and see what else he might need. I may return to add some things when I can. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I look forward to writing with you.
