How Can It Be?

I am amazed at the love I see-
The love of my parents
for my siblings and me...
And finally I asked the Lord
"How can it be?"

How can parents such love display
In their lives from day to day?
With the many kids they have to rear
How can they make each one feel so dear?

How can they read the looks on each face
And know which of us needs an embrace?
How can they see inside our mind
When others to our needs are blind?

How can it be,
Lord, how can it be?
"My Child, He replied,
They learned it from me."
