Wasted Life

Help me please, for I am lost,
A victim of spiritual holocaust.
See me through, for I am blind,
Show me what it is I need to find.
Touch my hand, for I can't feel,
The rain, the wind, or anything real.
Whisper softly, though I can't hear,
Because your breath envelops my ear.
Drop of water, to quench my thirst,
Is all I ask before I burst.
Smell of misery burns my nose,
The scent of life sweet as a rose.
Please restore my strength in faith,
Without you God, it's all a waste.
