The sun is rising, gently drawing the blanket of darkness
Little by little off of the sleeping world.
"Wake up!" it seems to say
As it kisses the drowsy earth and sky.
"Rise and shine!" it seems to add,
Sending its rays dancing across the land.
All across the fields, meadows and forests
Life is stirring.
Animals are awakening to meet the day.
The trees and flowers sway in the gentle breeze,
Waving hello to the cheery sun.
Sunlight sparkles off the chrystal dew
That clings to the grass.
There is nothing so good, so lovely, so pure,
As a fresh, brand new
Country morning!
