Hearts of Wonder

Can we mind our business on this tragic event day?
No! They wouldn't let us because they interferred anyway!
Knowing they would cause such a dreadful mess,
Still innocent souls had been mercifully lain to rest!
So we took our deepest concerns, along with our trust,
And gave them to families who had loved ones that fell down before us!
Some only had enough time left to wonder and ask why!
On this day,
In this way,
Where poeple would soon come to pray,
Our bodies will lay!
Some being only partially identified,
While those who sat high sky,
Are remembered not only by their families, but by name aboard flight!
What fools to make soul sacrifices just to take the innocents' life.

So now, we will not only shed tears,
But smile when we think back on the years.
They're at peace now, and no longer have fears!
Just as we're tilting our glasses filled with beers,
Let us to Them, Say cheers!

Yes! I actually wrote this poem on the first anniversity of the tragic event. I wanted to write more but I didn't want my true anger of the lost to surface, so I withheld a few phrases and wrapped this one up!

Sometimes that's the best way to go about it. But, you weren't alone in your anger, all of America joined you.
