STEPPING STONE

God is waiting, arms wide open
For His children to return
Watches as they try their hardest
Doing works so they will earn
Automatic place in heaven
Bound to get them through the gate
Keeping laws, the ten commandments
So they can ensure their fate.

Jesus is the sure foundation
He's the only stepping stone
Cannot get to God without Him
Reject Jesus, you're alone
Ask Him in and get to know Him
He's the Father, no mistake
He has bought your priceless ticket
Paid your fines upon the stake.
