I Was Born Before Dolls Could Talk

I was born before dolls could talk
And stuffed animals could dance and sing
To earn my childish love
A dolly didn't have to do a thing!

I was born before cars were electric
And before their seats warmed your buns
And the only things that were "green"
Were lovers of gardening's thumbs.

I was born before so many laws
Were passed that we have today
I was born before we ever thought
How easily they could take freedoms away.

I worry about the kids born today-
Will their parents teach them to pray
As soon as their hearts can form the words
Of prayer and praise?
Would that their little hands they raise
To no one except the Creator of all
He who created Earth, sky, land, and sea-
And every far off galaxy-
Yet has time for you and me...
We who love our children so much
Want for them God's special touch
That their lives our Lord would bless
And help them fly safely from our nest,
Blessing them in their lifelong flight
Keeping them from dark of night
Finally to bring them to His throne
Proclaiming that they are His own.
We want to be reunited when this life is done
With each daughter and each son
And all of those we love and cherish
Praying that none of those we love would perish.

these are the things that i was not taught at an early age.
learned the long hard way.
i don't wish it for any child.

When I see kids walking down the street being so rude and vulgar I pray that God would touch them and let them know the joy of Jesus.

It breaks my heart to see the anger and emptiness I sense in the kids today. They're just acting out what they experience, a world full of anger, emptiness, pain, and disregard for Jesus.
