I made myself find the time
To look back
And study the accomplishments
Hopes
Failures
Should haves.

I find myself embarassed
At missed chances
Encouragement lost
Covered ground reclaimed
By those it was wrested from

And realize that the fault
Was not lack of desire
Or trying
Or opportunity
It was me

Trying to run on empty
Not enough
Alone time with Him
Trying to do alone
What cannot be done

Determined more that ever
To continue
For time is short
A single breath from eternity
My next step is His
