It's Ok to Pray All Day

We moved from our little farm
When I was in junior high
And adjusting to the move-
Leaving special friends behind-
Sometimes made me cry.

The new school was different
No friends known from the cradle there
It took time to make new best friends
With whom to share.

I met some wonderful friends
And loved where God had planted me
But it took a bit of time
To appreciate each new opportunity.

I found myself praying often
Many times throughout the day
Asking God to be with me
And take the strangeness away.

I remember apologizing to God
For taking up so much of His time
Constantly asking Him
To keep me in His will divine.

Then one day I rejoiced
Almost to weeping
When I read in His Word
That I was to PRAY WITHOUT CEASING!


It changed my life in one fell swoop
Jut knowing that with God it was ok
If I wanted to stay close to HIM
It was ok to pray all day!

i sometimes wonder if God doesn't get sick of the same ole' prayers day after day, He's had to have heard them all billions of times over in every language there is.
what patience He Has!

I remember an old country song that one of the gospel quartets sang about the best prayer they ever prayed was when they were hanging upside down from a tree when chased by a bear...

Sometimes all we can say is "Help"
