So Many Years Have Passed

So many years have passed
since this photo was taken.
It was taken as a lark
on an outing somewhere.
I wonder if you ever thought about
who would be looking at this photo
70 years later.
If you had known
how every little photo of you
would be cherished
if you would have
had more photos taken.
I think of this when my daughter,
your granddaughter
takes a photo of me
that I don't like
and when I complain about how bad my hair is
or how chubby I look.
Wonder if someday someone will say
" I wish she had had more photos taken..."

Sniff The poem on the card made me grateful to still have my mommy. Life speeds by, and I shudder to think of the day I will be missing her as you do yours.
