I ran and I hid,
Trying to forget what I was
Who I was supposed to be.
Drinking myself into oblivion
Or so I thought, till no one knew who I was
So it didn't matter, right?
Get so high, I think I can fly, so I tried
And crashed
Tried to run away, and fell flat on my face
But looking up, there He was
Again
And again
Holding out a hand to help up
That which is down

Amen! It took guts to share that, bravo! I've been there too, and by His mercy and grace I was set free. Thankfully we have an awesome God who heals and delivers.
