The sight of the lightning and the sound of the thunder

brings delight to my night and keeps my mind from going under...

Precious rain, raining down on me

the coolness of your touch truly sets me free

Water me now, and I will blossom like a rose

In the midst of your mist I compose verse from prose

Emotionally charged, I write largely due to you

and every time you leave I'm left a different shade of blue

I knew you were coming and I showed no hesitation

Part relaxation mixed with mostly desperation

I need you to know that I need you to grow

and when the cool winds blow I'm waiting right below

I eagerly look forward to the brand new start

that begins when you cleanse my mind, my soul, my heart

Revealing, removing, refreshing each tear stain

caused by lyrical fear and poetical pain

You bring a joy I can't explain, a joy I can't contain

for no one knows I'm crying when I'm crying in the rain

These verses really struck me:
