The Family

The Family

Buildings may fall and crumble
Rain may fill the sky
But family love will still exist
As long as birds can fly.
Creeks may overflow their banks
And wash away the shore
But the love of family stays strong and true
And lasts forever more.
Lives are lived and generations pass
As new babies are born and blessed
And each one feels safe and secure
Firmly snuggled in the family nest.
We love our family members
They make our days so sweet
Each one is a treasure
And so wonderfully unique.

Don't Give Up

Don't give up!
Don't give out!
Faith in God
Is what life is about!
Things may be difficult
The future may look dim
But God is our hope
Just look to Him.
He doesn't promise
That life will be pain free
But He promises us the blessed hope
Of life with Him eternally.
The best exercise
That we can all daily share
Is bending our knees and folding our hands
As we go to Him in prayer.

I often find it so amazing how God perfectly created the family for each of us to have the love and support that we need, and if we don't happen to have a family we can rely on, he gave us the family of His church to share with and love each other.
