"passed past" (rough draft)

this poem is extremely cold cut and straight forward, it is extremely hard for me to write this, share it, and let alone finish this thing, I also am totally against watering things down, to purvey how serious of a problem porn is in modern culture.

There was a poll taken not too long ago and it unveiled quite an interesting statistic concerning spiritual directors who have had problems with addiction to porn. I believe it was something like six out of ten and an alarming statistic concerning extra marital affairs as well among clergymen. Not trying single out "clergymen" but one is forced to really find their own way in Faith and Belief and trust in The Lord alone to be led out of these deviant behaviors, no one man could have done it for me. i have had my own struggles with sexual promiscuity, peverseness, and obsessiveness it is symptomatic of childhood sexual abuse. i appreciate your openness in bringing to light a very real struggle and temptation that can and has had devastating long term consequences and which in turn affects entire family systems...well done!
Of course not too many people can admit to this although the porn industry doesn't ever seem to suffer the effects of recessions and it seems a "shameful" thing to admit but Jesus said: "if you are ashamed of me, then i will be ashamed of you", we must witness and give testimony to what Jesus has done for us, we must walk in Truth no matter how uncomfortable it is for ourselves or others!

It takes a huge and humble person to share like you just did, my hat is off to you. Especially at such a tender age. I don't know many men that would dare to express themselves so completely. Porn is such a part of american life most people don't even recognize it anymore. It's on almost every channel, almost every magazine it's only pg-13 behavior in movies and it is used to market to everyone from children to the elderly. It is a disgrace that was never intended. It is a devastating addiction that gets over looked because we as a society have normalized it. More people need to be honest about there secret addiction and tell the world how HE has set them free or why they aren't letting HIM. Well said brother.
