Celebrate the Promise

It's difficult when a loved one
Is called home too soon
And leaves our heart aching
With an empty room.

It's difficult to celebrate the holidays
That once we shared together
Harder to enjoy the sunshine
And the most beautiful of weather.

Our prayers to God for comfort
Can help us to ease the pain
And remind to to celebrate the promise
That we will see them again.
