Ugly, beautiful

Pain, pain, go away...come again some other day

Wish I might, wish I may...make the ugly go away

Ugly is the world, and it's the world I learn from

Ugly is inside of me, for ugly I've become

My heart has turned to darkness, my mind is in decay

The flowers, skies and rainbows are all different shades of gray

Tainted and polluted are the thoughts behind these eyes

Justifying twisted truths, these lips speak only lies

Innocence seems so far away...so far away from me

yet deep inside this pain I hide, salvation holds the key

The beauty of what once was is the beauty that will fly free

Ugly I see...ugly I be...ugly, beautiful poetry

Completely agree! And I really, really enjoyed how naturally it flowed. Especially like the powerful ending "Ugly I see...ugly I be...ugly, beautiful poetry"
