I used to confuse
When things I wrote
Anecdote with antidote
But as older I become
I think some healing
With each one comes
A gentle story of times gone by
Told with a twinkle in the eye
Can sometimes heal a hurting heart
And a bit of wisdom can impart
While doctors may give a pill or shot
To cure a fever burning hot
Some folks put a bit of hope
In laughter from an anecdote...
