Memorial Plot


A bit of grass

A bit of stone

A patch of sun

With thoughts, alone.

A name with dates

That span a tale

Of youthful jaunts

Of conflict’s vale.

Of family loved

And friends most gone;

Of travels logged

And good deeds done.

A puff of wind

Suggests a voice

That kindly speaks

Where saints rejoice.

Yes, gone before

To glorious task.

His name left here

Should someone ask.

Getting off the subject here, this title reminds me of something I read in passing on a outdoor church message board: "satan has a plot, God has a plan.
