When Times are Hard

This year has been hard for you
So many trials have come your way
Making life a struggle from day to day
But you have kept the faith-
That straight and narrow path you've trod
Seeking to be faithful and true
A dedicated servant to our God.
He knows your heart, has seen each tear
Each prayer you whisper, He will hear
Let Him comfort you
And cast away each fear
For no matter where you are
He is always near.
There is no mountain too high
No valley that is too low
To keep our God from being there
From going wherever you go.
He has not promised us a trial free life
Nor days with never an earthly pain
But that He will be with us
In sunshine and in rain.
Keep looking up and stay in prayer
Trust that these trials will pass away
Just know that He loves you
And in His arms you will stay.

When you are hurting and in distress
And think no one cares
You have no idea how many saints on earth
God has lifting you up in their prayers.
