Golgotha…Calvary They forced Him there Pushed, prodded Kicked, jeered And He had done no wrong Roadside storyteller Hand of healing balm Wooing the wayward Speaking of Pivotal Days Better Ways. But Religion did The “knee-jerk” Politics did the expedient Crowds followed the flow “Crucify Him” “Blood’s upon us And our kids” Hoisted the cross-frame Exhibited Him Just another stuffed animal. Offence to our thinking, Way of doing things Way of getting ahead. Things said like Faith…Truth…Give Ridiculous! Yes, butchered the Messenger At the Place of the Skull.
