God is able Empty
PostSubject: God is able   God is able EmptyWed Dec 04, 2013 4:27 am

"Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen." (Eph. 3:20, 21 NIV).

The potential of God is far more than just being incomprehensible. Among the many verses in scripture which encourage us to put our trust in God and stop worrying by telling about God's power, this is one having a great position in many people's faith improvement. He does everything according to His power that is at work within us. He does not work according to human imagination or appeal, but according to His infinite potential that is at work within us. Do not lose heart when you do not get what you prayed for, God's power is at work within you to give you much better things than you have asked Him for. We humans do not know what to ask for when we are confused and cannot understand what the solution to a particular problem can be. We do not know what on earth can help us out. But if we just pray without worrying for a solution and keep our faith strongly rooted in Christ's concern, and we wait patiently for God's answer to be revealed without roaming around for human answers or wasting our time and health by dealing into our problems ourselves (thus proving our lack of faith), and leave everything on God's knowledge and ability, we can get the above verse activated in our lives. It is time we understand the depth of God's power which is activated for the goodness of His children.

Today's people have many worries and anxieties. Finances, health, family, children, job, business etc. are areas which demand deep concern. But concern, when replaced with anxiety can ruin instead of help. Yes, though God is at work, we need to be responsible. Many people only pray and then just sit idle. God helps those who utilize their abilities as they are from God. If we pray for a new door to be opened and waste our time by useless talk and worthless time-pass, without doing our part to be done, our faith is dead due to lack of action. Yes, God can work without our help, but He intends to help us only when we do our part because He knows how important it is for us to use our health and resources, how useful it is for us to put our hands into work. When we do what God wants us to do, God will do what we really need for. A true concern for our goodness will prompt us to work better.

Are you worried about your life? Just apply this formula: Trust + Obedience in God and you will see your life becoming the working place of God's purpose and power. Mere faith cannot help, and mere work cannot give the needed results. Both need to go hand-in-hand with each other. Then, we can say that "God's power is at work within us to do for us what we can possibly ask or imagine." This is the secret to a true Christian growth. As all forms of life grow, our spiritual life also grows when we develop our faith by reading the Bible and develop our potential by obeying it.
