Where Jesus Plants You

Once a flower seed
tossed by the farmer's hand
sailed through open air,
and she whispered,
"Lord, for you I'd gladly
go out anywhere."
But as she came down
her heart was crushed
as she sadly looked around.
For the place where
she'd been planted
was just a patch
of barren ground.

Shine, where Jesus plants you.
Be a beacon even in the blackest night.
Shine, where Jesus plants you.
And soon your life will glow with Heaven's light.

As the days passed by
the flower felt
a bloom begin to grow,
and she praised the Lord
for the blessing that
her heart had never known.
But as winter came,
and her petals fell,
she could not understand.
Was she really part
of God's amazing plan?

Now when springtime came,
and the flower woke,
she remembered all the hurt.
Then she looked down,
and saw little flowers
pushing through the dirt.
Then she cried out,
"Lord, I don't understand
how can these things be?"
And He said, "Your not here
just to bloom,
your here to spread my seed."
