The Compass of the Spirit

As the indicator of a compass reveals west, east and south because of being directed always towards north, thus the indicator revealing of three in being directed to one by the earth’s magnetism, so it is with the believer (indicator), who is always directed to the Lord Jesus (north) by the Spirit of God (magnetism), and in so doing he can identify all other positions (where he should be).

"None of us is ever beyond the work of the Spirit in us. Many think that because they have the light of a truth, they are in all the practical reality of it. No! You may know and reckon on all the Bible, but there is no growth beyond the measure of the Holy Spirit’s work in you." -J.B.S.

Regardless of how often or extended trials may be encountered, the believer will without fail eventually again be re-encouraged and re-directed (Psa 37:23; Prov 3:6) by the Spirit of God; and it is in the manner of waiting for the “escape” (1 Cor 10:13) that reveals the strength of the believer’s faith, which unfailingly increases through and to the end of every trial (small and big), thus continuing the bond-by-trial relationship between the believer and the Lord Jesus Christ; for “as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation” (2 Cor 1:7).
