1 Timothy 2:1-4 "I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth. For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity-the man Christ Jesus"
The United States of America has a foundation in Christ, built by believers, and Jesus says...
... Luke 6:48 "It is like a person building a house who digs deep and lays the foundation on solid rock. When the floodwaters rise and break against that house, it stands firm because it is well built." The problem I see is how many "christians" misrepresent Christ here in the good ole U.S.of A.. I have seen so many times, the failure a believer has in realizing that Christ lives in those that have given their lives to Jesus. We live in HIS authority and do well to be armed with the Word....the only reliable and fully righteous authority we have. (Thank you Lord Jesus!) The problem doesn't start with the top, in my opinion, it starts right here in the hearts of us, the true believers. We need to be living transcendent lives....
Ephesians 2:10 "For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.".....are we representing Christ well at work, at home, at school or just out in public, or is it a Sunday morning thing? Are we in the Word, are we discipling others, are we praying for our leaders, our lost, each other? Is our heart being positioned towards HIM, daily, doing ALL things in love, are we showing compassion to our neighbors?
Matthew 22:36-40 36 “Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?”
37 Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] 40 The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”
No my friends, the problem isn't the heathens, the hedonistic, the self aggrandizing law/policy making politicians. The problem is those of us who don't show up and show out for our LORD and SAVIOR, the only living God, Christ Jesus. Our lives need to be intentional and transparent, standing only on HIS Word, as earthly ambassadors of HIS love for this world.
