| A Call to Anguish Sit down. Clear your heads. Clear your hearts. Expect to hear the heart of God in the following. Expect to feel the call to brokenness and God’s pain over the ruined conditions in most churches. The avid churchgoer will respond, “Oh, you just have to come out and take your place in some of the very meaningful programs going on. Then you will think differently. Just drop by our fellowship and see.”And that’s just the point. They are offering program. Not worship. Not trembling pause before the Word and Will of God. Not redeeming power birthed in anguish over the insincere and carnal condition of things. Paul travailed as if in childbirth again for the cleaning up of the fellowships in Galatia. Nehemiah groaned in prayer while serving the foreign King because of his knowledge that the Temple of God was in ruins back in Jerusalem. And so David Wilkerson in this video admonishes so-called Christians to draw near to the heart of God in prayer, waiting and fasting, in order to feel His visceral pain concerning the condition of the Bride and the lateness of the hour. Then, and only then, to act notwithstanding the risk, for the sake of souls, holiness and community reform. Forget the thin broth of the “ordinary Christian” who knows nothing of the pain of Gethsemane or of the moaning back-alley needs and loneliness just blocks away. https://sites.google.com/site/conversationabove/conversation-where (Just scroll down the web page to the inserted You Tube video) |
