Hello there! I am a writer currently living in Missouri, working on my Master's degree in English and also working as a high school English teacher. I would love to someday be a published novelist, but for right now I am submitting short stories and trying to get my name and my work out there in the world. My short story "Felis Carpathia" will be appearing in Mad Scientist Journal Spring 2019!
75% of the Christian fiction at my library is Amish romances, which is why I have sought out a group for fantasy Christian writers. I am a Christian writer who is not really into the Amish, and in fact I don't really enjoy romances at all, unless it is a romance tucked into an adventure. I'd like to glorify God with my writing of fantasy and sci-fi for the rest of the Christian nerds out there, and maybe shine a light to the unbelieving nerds who pick up my books.
My biggest writing inspiration has always been looking at the world and thinking "what if?" In fact my first novel-length works from back in the day are fanfiction - "What if I were present in this movie or book?" I like to look at the world and see what it could be or could have been with some alteration, like adding magic or space ships. I have a couple of manuscripts in the works, an Arthurian tale and an urban fantasy, but as I said right now I am focusing more on short stories, at least until I have gotten my Master's.
