In Times of Loss

It's difficult when we lose someone
That has been part of of life's history
It is sometimes difficult to understand the whys
And becomes part of life's mysteries.
We know we must go on
And live our lives the best we know how
Not dwelling in the past
But striving to make the best of now.
We will miss the ones to whom we've said goodby
Suffered in our loss and had our cry
But we will keep them forever in our hearts each day
Where all our most treasured memories stay.

Written last night in response to a request for a FB friend who had lost two of her former classmates and wanted a verse to share with them. This am I awoke to several friends saying it met a need for them as well... you never know who simple words are for.

How sweet. It's so true. I simply told my friend this morning that I appreciated her as a friend, and it turned her bad day into a good one.

Had this conversation today with future mother-in-law.
She is a real sweetheart!
