A Creative Essay on Creative Writing

creative
creative means to let one's mind wander and
to simply be that -- creative to say write
or do whatever comes to mind in its purest
and unaltered form much like a stream of
consciousness goes goes goes
on and on and on and mixed and jumbled but on
and
the thoughts come back at different times and
places and on they go racing faster than one
can call them to consciousness to organize
or talk about just split second thoughts
here and there and over and under in out
through each other so mixed as the whole world
is and so hard to sort out and speak of much
less not to mention to put on paper and
this will be unaltered
virgin thoughts
pure thoughts as ramble by yes as
they go rambling through my mind
my mind ha how can virgin pure
thoughts come from a constricted mind
mind brain educationally socially
constricted trained mind to do what
is expected put words on paper short
clear concise oh God statements definite
how can one be from a mind a mind of God
and of him by him created
statements with capitals commas
apostrophes periods and all the worldly
constricting and tying and inhibiting
things!
why oh why not just be free can't
be free life can be free dangerous
it's too dangerous to let people be free
oh how I'd love to be free
no commas no periods
to write and write and write on now
I can't write fast enough fast
to pour out my thoughts to the
world my worldly thoughts or
sacred thoughts who knows
who knows sacred thoughts come from within the
inner sanctums of the mind
but now ramble glorious ramble
I must say something
but only to a willing caring listener
true beautiful and meaningful thoughts come
and they come as they should
without censure
are you a willing listener
caring listener
interested listener
doubtful yes doubtful but for once you
can see my thoughts come pouring out
creative you asked for it
creativity cannot be judged good or bad
but only as an individual's own
because each of us is patterned after God
what could be more beautiful true creative
than to be free and let your mind wander
back and through back to the original
creation
was that not the greatest of all
creativity?
I ask you
I should have sang a song
etc. etc. etc.
but
chosen by now I chose to wander and wander
I go back through my mind back and through
we can usually go back
but through?????
past the artificial barriers put there by
man in his artificial world and why oh why what
good what purpose why who knows
I wander back thinking of creativity
this is fun

My thank you goes to Faulkner's influence from reading The Sound and the Fury.

Oh my, what a wonderful poem. Wow! That's the first word that entered my mind after I read that. I love the chaos and order all creatively packaged together. The way it is structured with the smaller one word line is incredible. It's as though I can hear you catching your breath before continuing on.

I thought the following lines ware clever, you failed to capitalize 'him,' and of course my Education in English zeroed in on it, but then the next lines excuse it, brilliant:

how can one be from a mind a mind of God
and of him by him created
statements with capitals commas
apostrophes periods and all the worldly
constricting and tying and inhibiting
things!

Well done, very well done!
