Lord, the evil one is after me
He is breathing down my neck.
He's really getting on my nerves--
He's making me a wreck!
I thought if I left him alone
He wouldn't bother me
I though unimportant as I was
No interest would there be.
I thought my love for you
Would prevent the enemy's darts
From being shot and flung
Into my aching heart.
I'm not real good at fighting-
Warfare isn't my game.
But I'm learning how to resist him
And use the power of Your Name!
