Truth

Some say they desire the truth
But if the truth be told
To get the unvarnished truth
Is not always their goal.
Truth is not bendable
To the searchers want or need
Truth withstands the test of time
It will prevail and succeed.
Some folks say they speak the truth
But upon close observation
The astute person can see
That what they promote as such
Has no root in reality!

The diligent searcher after truth
Does not have as their goal
To manipulate the truth once found
And gain its complete control.
The truth is important for it is life
And it gives knowledge to us all
After all it was a lie, we know
That brought about Adam’s fall.
