Does our sin stop God communicating with us?

Sin separates us from God, only through Accepting Christ and believing in Him and His sacrifice can there be any communication between us and God. All sin debt belongs to God, Christ paid the ransom for us. And even when you have been saved there will be periods where you might think God does not hear our prayers, where has He gone? He is with us but He desires that we "thirst" for Him, "hunger" for Him, lest we become complacent in our Faith and forget that we are to regard the matter of our salvation in "fear and trembling."

"Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling."

While sin separates us from God, Jesus spans ALL gaps. HIS grace is why God is ALWAYS with us. Sometimes HE lifts HIS protection if we are willful (so that we may learn a lesson) but HE always hears our prayers, and there is no such thing as unanswered prayer. Sometimes the answer is yes, sometimes maybe, and sometimes it's no. You may miss seeing HIS grace but it is always there.

Our sin can separate us from hearing God. He may be silent so that we can realize what we are doing to ourselves. God goes nowhere, but it is us that changes the distance in the relationship whe share with Him. He may be answering, but we are just too far away to hear His voice. Proverbs 1:33 says who listens to wisdom will dwell safely and be quiet from fear of evil. He is on His throne and isn't moving, we have to stay close.
