| Tried to help heeded what i thought was a calling saw a need... the silent cry of "help i'm drowning" lent a hand
But this shipwreck survivor sought command didn't want to be rescued but to get in and steer he'd been taken into other boats by tender hearts before
Pretended to be humble and grateful but something sinister was lodged in his eyes and ears well hidden, maleficent and hateful... had to give him a life-jacket and put him overboard for the sake of the greater good of the defenseless... "least of these"
In charge of his own destiny now needs no one's help he is his own country and his own lord his way prevails though having been on this course before still unable to acknowledge his way always fails
The sharks encircling closing in on a scent have no respect of persons or reknown don't question a gift on a plate hear only an empty belly's growl of a hunger to sate

| Sometimes the road most traveled is the way for some before they can learn the lesson. The Lord often has to sift us first. |
